The outdoor wedding is a time that is definitely dedicated solely to you and your couple, when all the ceremonial events are behind you, we leave our whole world behind and head outdoors for a dedicated photo session.
The place and time is up to you - I will travel with you with pleasure to your favorite places in Poland and in the remotest corner of the world. In each case I make sure that all our time is used effectively, regardless of the weather, light or time of day, but also that it is an opportunity for you to have fun ;)
I invite you to take a trip to my gallery after selected outdoor sessions...
1. The focus
I have some problems with setting the focus on an obect separated - closer to the camera, where the focus I get is still set to the background. In this case it is a tree. I was using tapping on the stcreen to select the tree (its trunk), but the focus was still being set to the backgroud. Examining the pictures and the app at home, I thouht maybe I was shooting before the focus was set (too fast), so another day I repeated on the same tree and have the same resault - sharp only the background. I have repeated this on severel places with different results, but generally the focus in this case was failing. I have tried using focus peaking but it was hardly visible in these condtitions. Finally I set the focus manually and it was successful - but I've lost so much time:
My findings:
- the very small circle at up right corner of the screen, showing wether the focus was set i definitely too small - depending on the place, wheather conditions, colors of the scene, etc. it is just very hardly visible
- the focus peaking was of not much help
- there was a general problem with focusing properly, despite the scene was quite bright and the subject was not to close (the distance was not the reason of the focusing problem)
- I was trying to reset the focus tapping nearby, but it was cousing cancelling the tap mode and switching to autofocus mode
My propositions:
- implement a larger marker showing whether the focus was set - i.e aroung the shutter button (please see proposition below)
- implement a sound for confirming (notifying) the setting of the focus (just like in cameras)
- impement options in the Settings for choosing user's sounds for both shutter and focus confirmation (just like in other apps and cameras)
- implement options for changing the color of the Focus Piking lines - not only red, but some others which might help in different condtitions; additionally I woiuld introduce in the Settings 2-3 levels of thikness of piking lines, just to make these more visible
- adding to the Settings an option to choose whetter tapping againg should switch back to autofocus mode, or just only refocus (I know that there is a feature of moving the focus area in another place and it is great, but additionally - as in real cameras - it would be very practical to be able to refocus an the same or near point)
2. Some other findings:
I have noticed, that changing the lightnes of the phone screen while the app is active works properly, but after swithing to other app or just to phone screen, the brightess is restored, so after switching back to the Proshot app I have to modify phone lightess again - in my opinion the brightness of the phone screen shoul stay at the modified level and not be restored.
There is a separate app for displaying phone camera hardware spec (Proshot Evaluator) - it would be nice, once the Proshot was purchased, to have Evaluator inside this app, instead of having to install 2 apps separately.
There is a settin called 'Enhance' - but I cannot find what it does. I have tried with on and off and there was no difference in the resutls.
It would be great to have at least some basic HDR setting (or to modify lights and darks)
It would be also great to have at least some face detection - now I have to tap the screen on a face/person and check, if after taking a shot the objects are in focus - taking into account the problems with focus setting described at top of this page, it is just cumbersome (taking in-focus photos by trial and error).
